e36 318is should i turbo?

i have a 92 e36 318is with 200,000 just bought it. runs like brand new ive had it for nearly two months now can this be turbo'd was gonna put a lightwieght flywheel in it to to take some stress off all the bearings would you turbo this block? i could put new gaskets all the way around but tell me what you guys think..or should i just drop an s50 3.0 in it...already has a chip and intake its real real quick for four cylinder planning on adding magnaflow muffler, aluminum flywheel possibly header and possibly cams from shreck street cams 256 lift from 240 degree lift. should i get the header i think with all this stuff  ill increase my 1/4 mile time for sure.  i know with the s50 conversion ill be able to do 12's i need help what would you guys do on a budget..

I will be turboing my 93 318is soon in about a month or two the project should be under way. Im replacing the rear main seal and front bearing seal, they leak and I can't complain if its the only problem on a 17 yr old car. Keep on the look out, wen i start my project it will be posted.

i recnetly turbod. blew my head gasket im looking at getting the vac upgraded .14 to lower compression a little 2.
i think a turbos more unique and fun. neither are good ideas for a budget and all in all both will come in at the same unless ur doing the labor urself. if ur doing the work on ur own a turbo is cheaper just part wise.
s50 will force not only and engine swap but tranny, clutch, brakes, and suspension
u cant make a 4 banger fast for cheap sad fact of the matter.

Any time you add HP to a car, you need to look at the entire drive line and brake system at a minimum.  A turbo is going to require a fair amount of custom fab work.  If you can do the fab work yourself then turbo can be more affordable if you go with used stuff.  An M50 can be dropped in easily.

On the cost front:  Cheap, fast, reliable... pick any two.
