Can someone help me? I want to turbo my e46 318ci 2001 118bhp engine

Hi guys, i have a 318ci from 2001 118bhp 8valves, can you give me some advice, i want to put a turbo on the engine to help me overtake more easley and increase it's horse power. I am used to drive a 320d e46 and i just wish i could have at least the same torque as a diesel form the 1.8.
The 1.8 118bhp is a good engine, going from a diesel to this engine i realy enjoy the sprint power in the 1st gear, a greait engine in town, and it's very silent but it's the 8v version so 118bhp makes me think about puting a 1.8 16v instead. I do not want to put a biger engine, mine does 8% to100km so it's ok.
But i keep loojing to youtube to some turbo 1.8 projects and i can see people did invest in the 8v version.
So can you help me by recomanding maby a kit and what else i need to make every thing work?

Maybe an idea to source an M42/M44 then you can build that up out of the car with the turbo install, whilst still being able to drive your car in its current state. Also, if you can lose any weight from the car then thats free HP

i know it's easier to sell the car and buy a 330 or 325, but the trooth is that in town it's a fast car 1st and 2nd to 3th, and my consumtion is 8%, i want to make just a upgreade like 180bhp, (like audi's 1.8t 20v)
i found in UK a kit for 750euro, and i have a few frends who own 1.8's economic but slow when you have to climb a hill or overtake and they also are looking for a solution.
I m not planning to race mine, only at organised event by bmw:), so please discussions advice.
I am also happy to say that my 1.8 is faster than my 320d 136bhp, i dont know how but it just is, i took them both on the local interstate:) i was very surprised, even so with the 320 i can overtake very easely and 318 is dangerous you have to know what your doing, i have to rev-it up to 6-7000, to get the power and so the gas goes down and nothing spectacular....i l put more photos so you can see the engine etc
