wich elipsoid frames fit the e30? i found a whole shit load of elipsoids on 5 & 7 series today at the big pickapart.

the housing is about a inch too long. but damn it ive read some where about people using e34/e38 elipi's in e30. but fuck if i can rember where i read it.

I tried the same thing.  The parts are similar but the mounting frame is deeper.  

I'd bet it could be made to work but it's likely cheaper to get the H4 Hella or Cibie Euro lenses.   They're better IMHO.  For a great budget choice you can pick up the EBay Autopal H4/H1 combo (made in India) for about $80 shipped.  Add some $35 rebased H4 HIDs and you're in business!

there was a few e30's with hella smiley's but they all had front end damage. maybe i can salvage the frames and swap in the housings.
