any tips on opening trunk , my little girl tossed my keys in trunk, im locked. any tips on opening trunk without key thanx, gang

I'm not entirely sure but you might be able to coat hanger the keys out through the back speaker hole. Its somewhat of a long shot.

the dealer can cut a key with your VIN. Not sure what they use for ID though.

You can remove the rear seat, -it has bolts holding the bottom cushion) then punch out the appx 12x12 inch "ski hole", which is already cut, then tack welded back in - only to be removed again for the ski hole option (crazy germans...). Then you could easily probe in with a magnet. Tempting as it might be, I would resist the urge to send the kid in afer 'em. There are sharp edges and it might be hard to explain to the authorities.

Edit- Oh yeah, this requires access to the rear seat- DUH-

The ski hole trick was going to be my suggestion too...+1 karma for ChokingHazard!

I never lock my car...it doesn't have anything valuable enough to take besides my black leather sport seats...not the easiest thing to take, eh?. I don't trust the 22 year old actuators. Given our current weather there's a good chance it'll all freeze solidly shut too.

I use the trunk lock.
