Oil Pan Concerns In Heavy Snow
« on: February 10, 2010, 09:56:09 AM »
While driving around in this beautiful weather the great lakes area is seeing I am finding that the deep snow is hiding a lot of things. My main concern deals mainly with the loud clunks and bangs that I have heard a couple of times from under my car. I am assuming that these are chunks of thick icy snow that have either built up or fallen off of other cars. Is there any concern of these chunks doing the same damage as some high spots of concrete or rocks?

Has anyone had any experience with this and do you guys think I should get a skid plate and be done with it? Just doesn't justify spending $185. I don't track the car but it is lowered only by HR sports so that is minimal.
