well is there anything close to being light but not with the issue that a light flywheel brings?

Not really. BMW designed it in such a way to make it easy to drive without snapping your limbs off trying to catch up to the engine winding down all the time ... anything lighter and I'm afraid you're gonna get the same symptoms ... that said, there really isn't a 'heavy ltw flywheel'; nobody makes that as it would defeat the purpose of changing the stocker

Bled the slave cylinder this afternoon and same shit. Sounds like the gears are grinding but it could also be the clutch slipping; either way, it's annoying.

Any moar tips?

There actually is a happy medium. There is a SMFW that came on the non-a/c euro cars. IIRC it's roughly 18lbs.
