My wife and I have had both.

We had a '92 318is. It was good looking and fun to drive.

Now we are on our fourth '91 318i/is, and we still have three of them.

So hopefully that tells you something.....

Wait IMO.

And where are you located?

Yeah, post your location.  We might be able to help.  There were a few for sale recently, but well up into the $3-5K range.  I'd say a good one is worth around $2,500 in my neck of the woods.

keep a eye on craigslist and the local classified adds. riding around when its nice is a good way to spot em too.

The e30 m42 318is coups are almost extinct, i have been checking craigslist, auto trader, and ebay. these cars are getting more rare everyday. The prices are sky rocketing on these cars.

I'm from KY, and my '91 318iS may be up for sale in a year or two. xD

I don't know where to look either. A friend of mine owns a shop, and one of his customers was selling my car. Unfortunately, my car came from New Hampshire, and the guy I actually bought it from didn't have it very long.
If you know anybody that works on lots of BMWs, ask if any of their customers are selling one. I've never seen another E30 318iS here in Lexington.
Good luck!

I\'m just a kid. I lack knowledge.

Searches craigslist nationwide as well as ebay and some other sites. There's probably others sites like this as well. This is the one I know.

A buddy of mine is selling his coupe. 17" wheels, lots of performance upgrades. Really nice car. $3,900 CL minneapolis.

There's also a non sunroof car in Alabama for those of you coveting a serious autox chassis. Some questions about it, but beggars can't be choosers right?

This day sucked, but hearing that made it a little better.
