Hey, we had half a day of good weather and thumper was too sick to work on his dashboard today, so... I finally took some better pics.

This shows the shocks and springs fully settled, the drop is perfect for me (I'm a bit of a fuddy duddy and didn't want to dump the car), and I love the way the setup handles. We have pretty much the worst roads of any city in the US, but I think I can manage if I avoid the very largest potholes and half the smaller ones. Anyway, on with the show... I'm very much a nOOb photographer btw.

and one extra:
http://ee1394.com/bmw/fotomat/060326/05.jpg

fyi, these are H&R #29664 sports springs (listed for the 1984 318i) with billy sport shocks, ronal LS 15x7.5 wheels with BFG 215 50 15 tires. so far, I would highly recommend.

big thanks to fitz318is for suggesting the springs.
+ big, big thanks to the M42club D/S cabal: without you guys I'd have a hard time figuring out how to style my car.

Looking good sam, glad you had a productive day. I've been busy coughing up my lungs. I think we need to chill out on these cold weather meets.

hey, thanks everybody for chiming in...

jonas: you've seen my car in person when it was feeling, how do you say, not so fresh... so I'm happy you could at least see some pics of it clean... we're (you and me) are gonna do jay's dashboard on saturday so get ready!

eurospec: hey man, hopefully your springs will come in soon and you can drop your ride... you should post some more pics too man, I always really admired your car, even from this coast!

christophbmw: posts pics man, it makes the world go round. 215s fit with no problems at all. Yokohama 225s will fit too actually, but I wanted to try bfgs... my big debate was between 50s and 55s, but I went for a shorter sidewall and... I guess they look a little small. I may roll the fenders at some point and do 225s.

Febi Guibo,
You car brings a back memories. Thats how my car looked before I mess around with her. Your car looks fantastic. Sometime I wish I never put the kit on and kept her original.
I used to have Gold BBS with silver polished lips. I had 225/50/15 tyres on there. They where a really good set up. But I think the 215/50/15 combo would be better for handling and still have a great ride.
