so after insatlling a new csb, and guibo, how do you tell if its balanced and is bolted correctly, i didnt mark it before i dove in,cause the flange from the transmission and flange from the diff were mixed up allready cause they were spinning freely due to the guilbo destroyed, and is there a certain way to put the 2 driveshaft back together???........it drives great but just want to be on the safe side.

The two-halves of the driveshaft need to go back together exactly as they came apart. That's where the driveshaft can go out of balance. It doesn't matter if the diff and trans flanges are rotated.

Each half is balanced separately, so in theory it shouldn't matter which way you put them back together.

yeah because it drives better then when i first purchased the car, so the driveshafts are ok then, and dont have to get balanced???

If it's out of ballance you will know. Find a lonely stretch of road, get up to speed and then push in the clutch and coast to a stop. Just feel for vibrations that shouldn't be there. Any DS ballance issue I have ever had were immediately apparent. If it's good then go have fun.

And quit with the burn outs.

Last driveshaft I had to change (on a '82 Celica for the record) was two part as well and it didn't matter top or bottom how it went.
I do recall it was VERY clear when the old one was going out and also I found out how much vibration there is with a loose bolt too. Think about how many times that shaft rotates while you drive and it makes perfect sense why a small change in balance will throw it around.

yeah it drives pretty smoothley, and yeah i got it up there on the speed and it has no problems at all, and yeah now ima take care of her a little bit more. thanx for all yalls help.
