hoses 2 the ICV
« on: November 17, 2009, 10:39:48 PM »
do the lines going into the ICV have a special trick to pulling them off? I just got this car(93' 318i) and can visually see major cracks in the hoses where the go into the ICV and where one goes to the intake boot. I didn't want to try to pull it until I got the hoses in from Pelican. They look brittle. Does the intake manifold have to come off to get to these lines and secure new ones all the way? Can they be pulled and replaced without manifold removal? The space looks small to work with and get the hoses in right

perfect write-up...........funny thing is, the car has been running better and better every day. It hasn't idled funny since I first posted. I'm still gonna replace the hoses and TB and Mani gaskets. I'll inspect the ICV while I'm at it. I may clean it too. Is they're anything wrong with cleaning it just as precautionary maintenance?

I would definitely clean it when you have everything apart as you will have it out and getting access to it is the worst part of cleaning it.
