Engine re-build
« on: July 23, 2007, 04:15:23 PM »
Hi there,

I am about to embark on a heart transplant (engine that is!) ;)  Changing the orginal M10 engine for the M42 engine

The car will be mainly used for road use, but also some track days.

What would you do on a complete engine strip and re-build, modyfying any faults, that over the years have been recognised and corrected.

Also, performance of the engine will be sensibly played with , any sugestions?

bore or stroke it.  And it depends if you ever plan on goin FI you may want to lower the compression or if you stay N/A then raise the compression ratio.  Goodluck ;)
