i was under the impresion that our cars have a 4.10 diff stock, also a short throw shifter does not improve 0-60 times in my opinion, maybe if you suck at shifting it does. and as for it beating an 325i, i have always seen our car kick ass off the line compared to a 325 maybe due to the gearing in our cars, or maybe im just really good at launching:p . im gonna go with the gearing.....

If I'm not mistaken, a lot if not most of them may have came with the 4.10 yes, but not the 4.10 LSD,, it was an open 4.10,,, Something grabs the back of my mind saying 3.73's? or something like that was available too?

I never had a problem with a 325 at all. At the track I was beat by one on juice, but not that bad.

By the way, guys with lightened flywheels or m20 flywheels, how significant is the change?

I fitted a standard M40 normal flywheel instead of the dual mass flywheel. Saved around 2kg. Best Gtech measured time before was 9.4, best after was 9.3... so not much change in my case.
