Caliper bleed nipple
« on: February 09, 2007, 08:26:33 PM »
So I got the brakes flushed today at a shop, and they bled everything except the driver side front caliper because the bleed nipple/screw thing was basically seized/rusted. They said they could try drilling it out and putting a new screw in but I don't want them to try and not be able to do it. I guess a new caliper is the best solution?

Opinions, comments?

Finally installed my IE subframe bushings and m3 CABs, car doesn't rattle as much now :).

how much extra is all that drilling going to be? youre better off grabbing a new/used caliper if theyre maken you pay extra

if the bleeder screw is rusted up, that means more could be messed up like the caliper piston or brake line.. double check

calipers should be replaced in pairs, so keep that in mind when deciding which route to take.

You can get some rebuilt calipers for a pretty reasonable price. Check at pelicanparts.

You can weld bolt to nipple and when it is hot unscrew it. It works!
