No power steering.. Help

I have no power steering in my 91. Everything is hooked up, belt, reservoir is full... Is there a way to check to see if the pump itself is bad?

If your fluid levels in the pump are good and you here it making a whining noise that is usually a good indication. You may also feel hard spots in the steering once in a while. A leak in the pump could also indicate a problem. However, leaks in the steering are usually the fault of the high pressure hose.
