his voice on the phone was so calm...
I ask if he's ok? "Yep, I'm fine. I drove my car it to the ditch."
Looks like an exciting ride for him.

A couple hours later, a call from the local police asking if the drivers was ok and they called odot to get the road scraped and salted the car is out, steering wheel is locked still and my brother dodge 2500 4x4 dragged it out with no issues.
After i got it home, I took the steering wheel off and removed the locking block from column.

He stopped none-too-short of that pole, didn't he? Glad he's okay, it's one of those "gulp" moments when you hear your kid has been in a mishap.

+1 on that - glad he's OK. I'm glad the car is OK too, and happily it doesn't seem like too much drama dragging it out.

Are you going to paint a frowny-face on the fender for a wipe-out? I'm planning on doing that for my kids.

I left the yellow police 'do not cross' yellow banner on it as a... ahem.. reminder to slow down.

The gruesome sight of an e30 in the ditch reminds me of my younger years.

Glad nothing major happened! Looks like he hit the gas attempting to get back on the road, futile but shows some instinct/skill rather than freezing at the wheel. Be safe.
