Water leak help!!!
« on: February 13, 2012, 03:33:14 PM »
Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can help. I had my A/C repaired and it works great  but now a leak has developed form the condensation build up.  Water flows out the drain hoses so I am not sure if this is a common.  Do I need to open the box to clean it out?

No need to take that apart...at least not on an e30.  There's two rubber pipe drains on either side of the HVAC box.  If the carpet has been replaced, it's possible that you can pull them out, clean them, then reconnect them.

They drain on either side of the transmission, might be that you can get them from under the car.

The pipes seem to be fine water is leaking from underneath the car when AC is on so they are not blocked.  I m thinking something is obstructing the flow in the box which may by causing water to sit.
