M42 Engine Parts
« on: March 18, 2011, 04:48:01 AM »
Hey guys, I have some parts left over from a blown engine out of a 91 318is.  Im kind of a noob when it comes to m42s so try and work with me as best as possible.  Prices are going to be a rough estimate based on what other people sell for... if Im way off base just let me know.  Also everything is OBO :D

Parts are located in the Bay Area, California

Oil Filter Housing - Make me an offer

Headers - Best offer on this one too

Lower Intake with Injectors and Fuel Rail sold
Throttle Body -sold
Upper Intake Manifold sold
AC Compressor - 30 The outside of the pulley is dinged up as you see in the pic... shouldnt  effect it though :dunno:

Power Steering Pump - 25

Alternator -sold

Throttle Body Heaters - Dunno if anyone actually keeps these so 2 bucks for the one without a lower part and 4 for the full one

Crank Pulley - 10

Harmonic Balancer - 10

ICV - Sold

Thermostat Housing - 7

Valve Cover - Sold

Coil Wiring - 15

Tranny Plate thing (Sorry I forget the name) - 5

Cam and Crank Timing sensors - 10 each

I still have basically the whole bottom end.  The block and the crank are gone but I might be able to salvage other parts.

Upper and Lower Timing Case Covers - 15 each

Okay so now comes the tricky part... I Have a whole head assembly from the engine that blew.  The cams are in good shape  and none of the valves appear to be bent.  Sorry I cant describe the condition of this thing very well, but I can take a lot of pictures, so just ask  The piston on cylinder 2 went out, so the head got a small nick as you can see here in the upper right corner:

Overall pics

Cams

The head can either be sold complete with cams and everything or parted out.

One last thing not pictured sorry

Cam and Crank Timing sensors - 10 each

Prices are flexible... and if there's anything I didnt list that you might need form an engine just ask... I might have it.

I realize this is an old post, but wondering if you still have the a/c compressor and power steering pump? Would you take $25 a peice for them?

Please write to Artem dot Lepilov at gmail dot com, I need a few pieces you got. Specifically, the throttle body pieces and maybe the ICV.

Thanks!

Any chance you have the front exhaust support bracket parts (the stuff that bolts to the bottom of the tranny & holds the downpipe)?

Visit HERE for a plethora of 318iS stuff and some other randomness.  Would you say I have a, plethora, of pinatas?

Are the cam gears, crank gear, and lower guide in good shape?  If so I'll take them!
