Hi,
I am replacing a profile gasket and need the tools to R/R the head. I think I especially need the timing chain tensioning tool. I am in Sarasota area if anyone can help.
Thanks
P

These are the tools you are looking for ......... I don't believe you need the tensioner for the m42 but I may be wrong.

I'm looking for a cam locking tool. I'm going to be doing my timing chain in the next couple of weeks.

Let me know if you have one.

Thanks, Kyle

Rear subframe bushing removal tool:

Rental fee $50 per week (7 days) plus shipping. Another $150 deposit that will be returned minus shipping cost. $25 for every week after. Will ship either FedEx or UPS and supply tracking. Return must be the same. Will include instructions. Day 1 starts the day after the part is received. Must be shipped on the eighth. Only do Paypal.

Part is from SIRtools, #3026. It also does e36, e28, e23, e34 and e32.

This beats buying the same $400 tool for a a hard job that only is done every so many years.

It will be 1st come, 1st serve and will have a queue and keep everyone updated along the way.

PM if you have questions.

I also have the FCAB bushing tools for those interested, a 10 min job for each side with it. Will do another post for it.

bump as both tools are available

I have a few tools avail for rent:
Differential and trans hex socket.
Universal tie rod wrench
Fan clutch holder and wrench.
OEM crankshaft holder to remove crankshaft bolt

Rental fee depends on tool and time needed range would be $5-20. Renter pays shipping.

Probably a long shot but anyone here have a piston ring filer for cheap buy or rent? I know they're only $50 new or so but its that tool that you will likely only ever use once.
Pi is apparently the multiplier for your engine swap budget as well.
