Does this look like an option for our engines? Eurospec have a mechanical one piece cam follower set (4 valve 16 piece) for $160USD. Part no. is 027 198 309 HM14.5. It is 35mm in diameter with 14.5mm foot. This is close in size to the Catcams mechanical follower which has a 14.7mm foot.

here there are some 14.7mm lifters:

A lot of VW tuners make them as they actually the same size. Check throught VW tuners websites.

I know nothing about fitting, no one documented that. It would be nice if someone wanted to be a guinea pig :)

48gm looks very nice :D. €17 ea however is a more expensive compared with $10USD for the eurospec. I wonder what the weight is for the eurospect followers.

Received the cam followers today. At first glance, they look good and weight in at 40±g on the old kitchen scales. When I get time, I'll dig out the vernier clipers and check to measurements.

S14 followers are the wrong size.

Jan, how did you go with these? Some research suggests that Renault 1.7litre F-Type engines may have the same size solid lifters. If you have not been able to get a set, maybe you'd like to explore this option to see if it correct.

Cheers

David

Hi,

I found company that will ship to finland and I have ordered a set :)

I ordered mine with 17,5 mm feet because I use stock valve lenghts. Even then the lash caps are going to be quite thick, around 4-5 mm with reground camshafts.

Turned out that delivery time for 17,5 mm feet followers to finland would have been around august/september and I need the followers sooner so I had to cancel the order in the end :(

But if you need solid cam followers, I very seriously recommend these guys:

Most friendly and helpful responses (hi Nate!) and no problems at all getting paypal payment refunded after the delivery time turned out to be too long for me :)
