The fun begins beyond 8000 :D

Boyracer Honda S2000 got 85mm Bore and 88mm Hub, and still 9000 rpm is redline. But you are right ... smaller Hub would be better for High Rpm.

Deyan:

Are you sure both M42B18 (1st gen) and M42B18 tu (2nd gen) head has same combustion chamber volume? These heads have different part numbers and those engines use different pistons also. M42B18 piston has deeper dish (4,5 mm) vs. tu piston (3,56 mm).

Hi All,
I see that the topic is not discussed for a while but maybe someone can help me.
I would like to build a stroker M44 (or M42) engine for my turbocharged 318is.
This sentence is really interesting:
"The good thing is, that you can buy stock Evo Pistons for 100$, and they are very strong and forged from the factory. Together with second hand diesel and 135mm second hand M20 Rods ... you can stroke the Engine for under 1000$ and It will still be very strong."
Has anyone built the same engine?
I would like to know the exact parts (piston, conrod, crank) what could be used to build a stroker engine. I have both M42 and M44 engines, but my current configuration was set for M44 (with VEMS engine management). Since the car is turbocharged it would be better to have a CR < 10:1.
I've searched for this modification and M47 diesel crank is mentioned with M20 conrods, but I don't know if they really could work together with EVO pistons. Anyway which EVO piston could be used (if any)?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
