no it only goes inline on the return line, the supply line stays unmodified

Remove the stock fpr then weld a plate onto the flange where it once attached, on mine I welded an 1/8"npt bung into it to mount the gauge off of. once the fuel rail is finished, run the supply hose to the rail then the return hose from the rail should go to the external fpr, then the outlet of the fpr goes back to the tank.

not knocking your setup at all, but the part i linked was plug-and-play. downside: it took a while to arrive from england. just for OP to consider.

i have a tig. its really no bother. ive been contemplating cutting up a spare lower intake i have a building a custom short runner intake.

i think that may be my favorite thing about the ITB setup. all i do now is get a rag to catch spillage and unbolt the fuel rail.

any external fpr and be plug and play if you leave the stock fpr on the rail, but why would someone want to do that if they have a tig or access to one, whats the point of having 2 fpr's when only one is actually regulating the pressure

the afpr still needs to draw a vaccum dosnt it? how thick of aluminium stock did you use to cap off the stock fitting for your guage?

like i said once already... the one i got has a fitting that replaces the stock FPR. it's not a secondary. the only PITA with it is finding somewhere to mount it, but my friend and i fabbed up a bracket with some flat aluminum and a grinding wheel in about 10min.

to reiterate, i wasn't knocking your setup, just presenting the pros/cons of an alternative.

im gonna try to get to dads shop tomorow and machine that lip down where the gasket seats for the stock fpr and hopefully get the plug welded in and the fitting welded in if the speedshop in town has the fitting. rest of the shit is still on order and im waiting for the junkyard to unthaw to go pull some injectors.

i didnt like how it turned out. i think im gonna fab up a aluminium fuel rail. fuel rail stock isant that expensive.
