Are you sure they are white and not gray - as in BK/GY and VI/GY?

Possibly C136, HVAC connections - pages 6452-0 and 6452-1 in the ETM for the '91.

Just a stab in the dark...

Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / Greetings From Egypt ! E30 - M42 Swap Help !

Welcome to the forum!

OK, if I understand properly, you have an E36 M42 you want to put into an E30 body, correct?

The E30 electrical manual is here. I found an E36 electrical manual here.

I'd just start comparing the wiring, shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Electrical / Trying to Install E36 Fog lights..Need Power Source..
« on: November 26, 2012, 04:34:55 AM »
FWIW, I wouldn't use speaker cable for anything but speakers, but that's me. I would also opt for quality crimp connections over solder, as soldering can make the connection brittle and subject to vibration issues over time.

Having said that, the E30 came with the harness and connections already in place, whether the car came out of the factory with fog lights or not. Adding fog lights is simply a matter of locating the existing connectors, typically wrapped up in the harness near the terminating points, and plugging everything in, as well as adding the appropriate fuses. No point in creating the additional expense of different wiring harnesses for cars with or without fog lights, it's cheaper for the company just to include everything on all cars.

Have you looked under the bumper and dash to see if the connectors are already there? Under the bumper will be connectors with two wires going into them, one yellow with a brown stripe and one brown. Under the dash will be a connector with two wires, yellow with a violet stripe and yellow with a green strip.

You'll also need the relay in K47 and a 15A fuse at F15.

Electrical / oxigen sensor pinuot

Download the ETM, page 30 of the PDF (page 1360-5) shows the schematic for the sensor; page 116 (page 8500-7) shows the mating face with the pinout.

IIRC, the two white are the sensor inputs (pins 1 & 2), the black is the ground (pin 3), and the gray is the lead to the heater relay (pin 4).

General Topics / Fuel leak driver's side

On mine, they were all dry-rotted. As soon as I replaced the fuel filter, and actually handled those lines, they all started leaking. I ended up dropping the tank and replacing all the rubber fuel lines in the car.

Not to rain on the parade...

Just as an aside, I posted an updated version of the ETM here a few years ago, which includes many of the missing pages...   ;)

Can't get the Mega Cab with a long bed, for whatever reason. It's still longer than most parking spots are!

I just bought this one in April; a little more expensive, and four doors, but it's pretty handy for hauling stuff.

Thus the plate.

Transmission shift controller - Sport/Economy/Manual shifting. Personally, I haven't ever seen one in an E30.
