E30 is gone, so it's time to clear out my garage. If you want more info or different pics of an item just send me a PM. I will add any newer stuff I find for sale in this post as I find it. Prefer local pick up, but I can ship the smaller stuff, buyer pays for any shipping and handling fees. Payment by Paypal or straight up cash if picked up. All prices are OBO and negotiable unless otherwise noted. Let the fun begin...

I've got this one in my car right now. In all honesty for the extra $30, I think the Rogue Engineering is better. And if you're going RE, you might as well spend the extra $50 and get an AS/BavAuto/BMPD one which is IMO the best in the $200 price range. I've tried all of these already and I'm curious as to how the UUC one performs. For the price ($350  ) I'm curious to see if it's better then the $200 options (which are PRETTY DAM GOOD!). Anyway, hope you enjoy it, it's definetly better then stock! :)

Ordered the H&R Race springs from turner....Bilsteins from Bavauto....ebay controls arms w/bushings.

Yo man, how are those eBay control arms w/bushings, did you get a chance to test them out yet? BTW how many of you actually called up IE to cancel, I still have my order on file with them even though my H&R sports are sitting in my living room, LOL. ;)

This is my 318ti (M44) with the Supersprint cat-back. I would expect the M42 to sound very similar.

http://www.putfile.com/bullmand

BTW, please excuse the crappy quality. That was recorded with my still camera.

WOW  , that's what an aftermarket exhaust is suppose to sound like. Man, if you were working for Supersprint you just closed a sale...

DOH at least an 8 week backorder on the Supersprint for the M42... DAM, why must all the stuff I order for this car be on backorder???

IE3 Flashbacks… DOH!!! :D

The stock exhaust piping is 2.25 (2 1/4) that's the size opening I needed when I purchased my magnaflow exhaust. The magnaflow sounds real nice outside of the car, but inside it whales like an out of control beast. I'm not a big fan of the sound inside the car. Does anyone have a sound clip of the supersprint exhaust on a m42? I've heard them on 325's, but the sound can be totally different with the 4 banger. As for the stock exhaust they are very very quiet, if you don't want to hear any exhaust sound that's the way to go, but I like a little rumble when I'm at wot :) .

Suspension / What's the deal with IE???

Just spoke to someone at IE, probably Jeff, I'm not sure. Anyway here's the scoop... As of yet they have not received any shipment from Eibach. The person on the phone told me that they will be calling everyone on the waiting list as soon as they ship the springs, however this  may take a few days because they are not sure when they will arrive. The guy said that if they don't contact me by Tuesday, that I should call back to get an updated status inquiry.

The wait continues...

I cant find the sportline on eibach's website for our application? Where did you see it?

I’ve seen the Sportlines on a few sites, but there seemed to be a discrepancy about what chassis it would fit. For example the site would say it’s for a 1991 318is, but the chassis would be listed as an e36, some sites would even just list it as an e30/e36 option. Anyway I called up a few performance shops around my way and they confirmed that there was a Sportline kit for the 1991 318is, but these guys didn’t know the difference between an e30 and an e36 (Dam muscle car shops…). So I figured I’d call the source and find out what’s the real deal. I knew it was bad news for us e30 318is owners when the first words out of the reps mouth was “oh yeah, it looks like we’re going to have to upgrade our catalog”, LOL. So without going into any useless details, “there is no Sportline kit for the e30 1991 318is” and just in case you were wondering like me… “The e36 springs will not fit, there is a difference with the rear springs” or at least that’s what the rep said.

On a similar note, I also called H&R and I spoke to a really nice lady who told me flat out that “there are currently no race springs for a 1991 318is and we have never made a race spring for that car.” Oh well, like I said she was a nice lady who was just punching in numbers on a computer.

Ahhh the wait continues, IE3’s baby!!! Number ###, on the IE3 wait list, LOL…

What's going on man? I'm about to give up and settle for some Eibach Sportlines and rock those until the IE3's come in. Let me call them up now and see when the new back order date is.

Suspension / anyone running tokico springs and shocks?
« on: April 30, 2006, 12:44:34 AM »
I've had KYBs on a bunch of cars and have had no complaints. If you can't spend the cash on bills or konis you won't be disappointed with another shock as it will be slightly better then what you have unless you're running brand new oem suspension, in which case KYBs would only be on  par or slightly better (subjective). I picked up a set of bills for mine, but that’s only because that’s what I use to have on my last m42 and I wouldn’t want to regret not putting on bills if the setup didn’t feel the same. If you can you should try and get into another m42 with a suspension setup that you’re looking at just to see how it feels. Good Luck with your decision, hopefully you’ll get something you’ll be happy with…
