the signal voltage is of a different range... Need to have a piggyback ECU to transpose the MAF signal for the ECU to 'understand'...
Yes, there's a difference in power delivery... U can use any MAF as long as you can 'transpose' the voltage signal range..

oh yeah, there's another thing.. u need to wire up a ambient air temperature sensor to the MAF.. FYI, there's a built-in air temp sensor in the stock AFM. Alternative, u can use a resistor of the correct resistance value in place of the air temp sensor.. Downside, the ECU wouldn't be able to compensate if the change is ambient air temp is significant..

Fabian...is that u?.... well.. back to the afm to maf stuff... r u saying to fully utilize the maf....a piggyback ecu is needed... n that's where the smt6 comes into the picture...a'aight? I'm seriously considering on changing the afm...maybe u can recommend me the place where u did yours....
cheers

I've got a 3.91 in mine. Seems to be just as quick as the 4.10, but about 300 less RPM at highway speeds. I don't think I would go with any other gear though, unless most of your travels are on the highway.

... a better top speed i presume?
