Engine + Driveline / no brake fluid in my bmw and my girlfriends camaro... sabotage???

^ ^ ^  Look for leakage areas NOW!!.  I ran a stop sign turning right, My life flashed befor me, Tee Boaned! Good thing their was no car's comming my way.

that is indeed very strange.   it would be difficult to do that to someone elses car and have there be no sign that someone was working on said  car. the only way I have ever heard of that being done a brakeline was cut.  your car has both metal and rubber brake lines going to all four wheels.  someone with evil intentions could cut a rubber line, but you should be able to see that.  at the very least you would think you would see signs of fluid leaking out.    good luck, and keep an eye out when your car is parked

If it's that critical.  Then why not just put a threaded stud in it's place and use nuts, then one of the two has to brake loose next time?  GL

General Topics / Metal bracket removal help

I saw Simon S's page on his m42 and he used a dremel and patience to get it off. I will try that first before purchasing a grinder. I have access to a cutter drill bit and would like to try it, just have to see it in person to see if it can remove some of the spot weld without make a hole. I wanted to try to save the bracket for the s14 guys but rather just get it off clean.

^^^   Same but more manageable grate.  Cut around the spot welds  - Remove brackets finish grinding spot welds down, only as far as needed.  GL

Do you mean to go after the rivets/spot welds with the grinder. I have to a take a closer look see how much of the brackets are welded to body.

Yes Alex  That is if you don't want extra holes on the chassis.  If you don't care then any drill bit will work just fiend the center and drill how ever big of hole it takes to get it loose. GL
