I think maf 4 looks pretty good for the most part! Still a little off in some areas but not terrible. It could be leaned out in the midrange for sure.

You're still using the stock ecu with the MM chip correct? What are you using for the logs? I could take some logs of my car and post them with my tune to see what they're like. I may be able to help with the afr tuning aswell. I decoded the stock ecu files and have all the map locations. I've been using tunerpro and the stock ecu so far but will be switching over the MSPNP at some point.

To me personally, I think the whole of MAF 1 & 2 look pretty lean. I have mine tuned down to between 12.5 and 13:1. That's where you're going to get best power and mean best torque. Are you a till running moronic or did you get your mega squirt up and running?

Also, just wondering what you're using to log your afr's. I would like to do the same for my current and stock tunes and share them here. I have a feeling it may be nice for some people to see them side by side. The stock tune is really pretty bad.

Replace EVERYTHING while you're in there. All seals and anything that you touch, and everything that rotates. Do it once and save yourself any future hassle.

Do you know tunerpro? If i get you the correct stock map you could pull a couple degrees timing and alter the fuel tables to run larger injectors (there isnt an injector constant like in some other programs/ecus).

I have a bunch of maps that I've tuned for my NA m42 for use with tuner pro. Paid quite a bit of money for some tuned files that actually turned out to be crap. Taught myself to read code to find all maps. Willing to help you out but I'm not on here that much

The RHD website mentions you may have to extend the clutch slave rod. Does anyone know if you have to do this on a M42/M44? Or does it depend on the clutch kit used?

I didn't have to do anything with my M42/g240 combo. Used the RHD flywheel with m20 Spec clutch and m20 throw out bearing (can also use 320i TOB). Make sure you get a pilot bearing for the m42 though.

Both the front hole (pictured above) and the port where the stock oil pressure switch is mounted are 12x1.5 thread. I ended up using the front port for my bro pressure sender and the rear port for my temp sender. Worked perfect for me!

I love the ITB kit and design and would possibly be interested in the kit. LHD e30 here. Love the RHD flywheel I have, think this would be a nice addition someday :)

Typically no, the oil level wouldn't be higher than the seal. The crank itself it not in the oil, so the oil should not be up to the seal.

In the e30 the fuel pump does not prime until the motor is cranking. If you have it wired the same way then it will not prime with the ignition on.

The rear main seal has a lip that has to be installed a certain way onto the crankshaft. If that lip was not fit around the crank when it was installed it will surely leak out with the motor off. That said, the oil pan does not go all the way up to the rear main. The seal itself is pressed into a small plate that bolts to the oil pan and the back of the block. There is a metal gasket that can be replaced to seal this plate if it is removed.

Best of luck to you!

Ooo, very nice! I would love to find a small case LSD to swap into my old diff, the spider gears went to hell but the ring and pinion look good. Mfactory makes them but theyre a little pricey...

If you still have to cam sensor disconnected, that will cause problems. Replace the sensor and keep trying...
