and a larger radiator doesn't over cool,  your thermostat not working over cools your car.  to me,  the larger the better when it comes to radiators

i tried the o2 one and couldn't get it to work.  thought it would be cool for the o2 but not so cool for the rpm gauge.  i had it in an 85 300zx and it was cool on that.  very knight rider

and,  when you hook an amp in line on our cars,  you cannot hook the grounds for the radio up or it will cause low sound issues.  if you are running straight from the hu to the speakers then it will work like a normal car system.  no idea why,  just found it to be true on a few e30s.

here is a picture



ignore the horrible red paint.  i took it off after that pic and went straight aluminum color on the needles.  they have little prong under that bend up with a fine point knife and you can paint them which ever color you like.  i soaked them in nail polish remover and it took all the paint off and they looked great so i just left them that color

you can get a euro cluster with only the metric system also.  i have one from my 325i but it doesn't work on my 318

i think it looks great for a diy first time job.  way better then i could do.  i am just paying a buddy 500 bucks to redo a sport interior in black for me since he has been in the business for about 25 years.  i had him change all the stitching to match m3 fronts and then when i find another m3 rear,  i will have him redo that also

Interior / Gauge cluster wont work...ne suggestions?

maybe the solder is cracker also?  the early e30 cars had problems with the solder on the boards cracking with age.  i just reflowed and never had issues again.

this is on an older cluster though,  i have never had issues on a newer cluster (87 on)

i have everything to swap but the coding plug also.  i have it from an 87 325is.  i already swapped the stalk when i put in the cruise control stalk so that is already taken care of

my 318 and my euro cluster from a 325i both have the front mount coding plug but are not able to be changed and work.  i am sad to say.
