Swaps, Turbos, Buildups / turbo build thoughts
« on: February 15, 2013, 09:41:17 PM »
I would highly recommend running the engine on megasquirt ECU, it gives stock like driveabilty, easy to tune on the go and makes adding HP an easy task.
APR head studs are highly recommended. I'm doing a customers turbo build and hes also using a .63 a/r ebay turbo and the thing is actually pretty nice quality.

EDIT:10/6/11
I will always be trying to improve this kit. I've had a few customers use the Velocity stack with great results.

Today I'm releasing the new Ver.4 kit it uses a rubber trimmed bracket to ensue the clearcoat on the C.F canister does not get damaged. All future kits sold on the forum will be the Ver.4 kit.
NEW Ver.4 Will be $118 shipped in the U.S

Can anyone tell me what the german TÜV think about this CAI?
I would like to put one in my 318is but i don't know if it is legal here.

Also do you use the adapter or do you have a MAF conversionand is there any affordable MAF conversion now?

Alex

I'm not sure if it would be TUV certified. You can either use a MAF adapter if your using the stock AFM or if you have a MAF conversion(miller makes one)then you need nothing other than my kit to bolt it on.

I know I've sold at least 20-25 of these to M42 owners but none of them ever send me pictures!

Other benefits besides cold air are a real throaty sound, power and mpg. Those are all because you get a less restrictive intake and cooler air into the motor.
