Hey Lambertius,

as said via PM in bimmerforums.com...

I absolutely follow this Threads as i'm going to build up my own itb's.
my idea with the 35mm ITBs wasn't that good, so now i'm heading forward to create my own ones.

But there is one simple issue at the moment.

My intake manifold is in my garage, 50km away from me and i'm not willed to go there in the next weeks.

So could anyone please give me an exact measurement of the port face and the bolt distances at the head/intake flange?

Hey Guys, I'm also interested in built a 2.1l M42. But I'm confused which crank is the right way and what exactly has to be machined.

M47D18 or D20?

Just give me some infos, a friend of mine could do the job here in Germany. 

If i tell him what to do exactly what to do on which crank he can give me a price.

To bore the block up to 86.5mm for example he's asking 200€ (one block)

I will try to arrange some cheap cranks, but need to know which one is the best.

Not wanting this to become an infamous 'oil thread' but I run Castrol1 5w30 Extended Performance Synthetic(15k mile one) in both my E30's and the results speak for themselves.
This is the head of the 318i with 181k:

This looks very good to me, what about the oil consumption with this oil?

Hey guys, i know i will start a heavy discussion now, but which kind of oil you're using? 

I'm living im germany, most of the bmw engines are running with 10W40 oder 5W30 here, but which are you running in which location?

I'm playing around with WinOLS a long time, i have a 27Cxxx programmer also. So there shouldn't be a problem to find out something about tuning.

Even a friend of mine is doing professional tunes, so in the worst case he will make a chip for me.

I was looking for an ostrich, but only in the us i found some which will need too long to arrive here.

Can you recommend some injectors? I found to different part numbers on the bosch list,for one, the production is discontinued and another one is hard to find.

But why i need to change the fuel pump if i stay a 3bar? Is the original pump not strong enough for 30% more value?

Hey guys, I've read about the very good specs of Ethanol. Now I'm looking for a proper setup to tune my engine for that.
I'm not goinf to run a turbo this season, but planning to do so next year.

But now i wanna setup E85 Injection on my car, with all the plus it gives.

I need 30% more fill up to the cylinder, or more fuel pressure what will lead to dripping injectors.

So which injectors are the right ones for E85. Do i have to change anything else?

Please give me some infos on that.

Hey guys. I want to ask you something about the flywheels.

I'm planning to swap my automatic trans to a manual gearbox. If i go for the M20 Flywheel, which clutch i could use? Because there is a brand new in the car where i could take the manual gearbox out of.
But its driven with the original single mass flywheel of the m42 yet.

Hope to get a quick reply on it.

Hey! My name is Robert and i live near Berlin/Germany.
At the moment I've doing a swap from older M40B18 to M42B18 and i want to put some individual parts on it. I already have finished an COP Plate, just wondering why my Bosch Coils not fit as they should.

But thats something for a separate thread.

I hope to find a lot of ideas here, to get my M42 to more Power amd mor individuality.
