I used a lightened M20 flywheel. Got a std one from scrap and had it taken down to around 6kg on a lathe. Then used a 323 ring bearing and brand new M20 starter from euro car parts and M20 325i clutch. My car has plenty mods and is making 200+ bhp. No slipping and cost me under £300 including fitting.

i have just done this by fitting a m44 into the e30. i used the m44 rhd manifold and was surprised on how much space there was around the steering column. i do use chassis mounts for the engine as i tried the e36 engine mounts and they did not fir too well. here is a vid where it shows how much room there was. Does anyone have a link to or know of anywhere the cam / crank cycle timing can be found for the m42?

I am in the process of a top end rebuild and want to know the intake and combustion volumes and the standard cam timing.

Planning around upgrading the intake valves and cam duration but I want to know my starting point first.

My plan is to go 2mm bigger on the inlet valves with a higher lift and wider duration but I want to calculate the standard volumes and airflow first.
