Thanks everyone... I bought 11:1 JE S52 pistons. Using the wristpin as a locating tool the S52 piston is already 1mm shorter than the OEM M42 piston. I have decided to weld and offset grind the M42 crankshaft to M44 stroke length...

Interesting.. from the looks of the threads around here it seemed as if everyone and their cousin has done this... Looks like I am reinventing the wheel!

I am in the process of building up a stroker M42. I have used the search function to no avail.. can anyone point me to a thread with the piston / crankshaft machining requirements? I have the ability of mocking it all up and doing it from scratch but why re-invent the wheel?

They are OEM and work just fine.. don't compare a turbo'd M20 experience to anything.
