I like your license plate - something lke that would cost a fortune over here!

The volvo lip spoiler is a very popular mod over here in the UK

Hey Ratch, I've seen some of your posts on the E30 Zone in particular the one on your roof skin replacement - very impressive!

Nice looking cars you've had - Lazer Blue FTW! Got any more photo's? I was thinking about putting SE side skirts on my Lazer Blue IS but wasn't sure what it'd look like.

hey guys, is it true that the non-us bmw dealers garanty that problem and will fix it for free? id like to, got a e36 waiting for the job to be done

As far as I know BMW (UK) would replace the profile gasket under warranty for free up to 5 years. So, all E30's are now way out of warranty but on the up side, the majority of cars will have had the job done.

The gaskets would normally fail at around the 50k mile mark, few lasted more than that so if your car has done more than 50k and you're not sure if it's been done, chances are that it probably has!

How-To's / radiator problems

The procedure is something like this,

With the engine cold, fill the expansion tank to the cool max line.
Turn the ignition to on with all of the heat controls set to max heat.
Open the bleed screw. It's the circle with the X in it to the right of the
expansion tank.
Fill the expansion tank until nothing but coolant comes out of the bleed screw.
Close the bleed screw.

It helps to have the car with its nose pointing up-hill to help coax any air bubbles/pockets to the front of the engine and into the expansion tank so they can escape.

The M42 engine often gets an air lock in the heater matrix too. To easily expel this you can loosen the top hose that goes through the bulk head to the heater matrix and bleed the system from there. ;)

Are those Zender front & rear bumpers/fenders? I recognise the rear valence but not seen the front before. Looks good but would benefit from the matching side skirts!

Asserti - I remember seeing your car there! I've only just signed up to this forum, I normally use E30Zone.net but there's plenty of really good info on here!

Great day...

Hi! Very nice looking car you have there. Where abouts in Oxford are you? I've never spotted you...

I noticed the Didcot Powerstation in one of your photo's.

Are you on the E30zone at all?
