Engine + Driveline / Mustang Injectors in an M42 engine

Those seem to be rated 25% higher than stockers. I'm not up on fuel theory, but that may be a bit richer than you were hoping for.

They are good, but my car need dyno tuning now.

There is videos at my car with this 255cc injectors, itb, eisenmann, intake cam, Bmc carbon cai etc.

Engine + Driveline / Engine bogs unless given full throttle.

Ive read the other bogging threads. I have no CEL. Car bogs down unless I give it full pedal, this has gotten worse over the past couple weeks. I didnt think it was a fuel issue since it responds to full throttle, but I really dont know. Whats new is the fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs and wires, and a coil pack. I can unplug the AFM and it doesnt change anything, so I dont know whether to rule it out or anything. This problem sucks thanks to the absence of a CEL.

How long are this Bosch 0280155715 injectors? My e36 has about 73mm total lenght of injector and about 67mm o-ring to oring. Do the 0280155715 pass my car like bolt on.

I think they can be good with my Dbilas itb and grinded intake-cam setup.

I got now 19.5lb injectors in my car and afr is lean on load and wide open, afr 14.5-15.5

Only at idle afr is around 13.4:mad:

They work on the E30 M42 but the E36 94+ has the stupid air shroud injectors.

So I don't know.

I dont know why, but i dont have air shroud injectors and my car is e36 07\94. I have "normal" style injectors in my car, so they should fit:cool:

edit: what you want to know exactly? if they fit physically or if the flow would be enough for your dbilas?

I want know do them pass physically to m42? They flow little bit more than stock injectors 190ccm vs 204 and both are four pinttle injectors and high ohm.

And yes, my problem is lean afr with Dbilas itbs and grinded intake-cam. I tryed S50b30 240ccm injectors but car doesnt work with them. It runs too rich and run very very bad, sound like 2-stroke motor and smell like fireworks.:mad:

I think i buy them (204ccm) and try if it works finally:cool:

howd you test your motor mounts?

You see it if they are bad. Motormount rubbers fuse and stretch, especially exhaust-side.

Engine + Driveline / m42 using alot of oil

hi guys.

my e30 318is m42 engine is using alot of oil . i do alot of driving highway mostly on a weekly basis travelling to and from work / start and stop in traffic :mad:

i noticed that is uses alot of oil since from the last 2 services ive done .. im finding myslef topping up at least once each fornight. the motor has 310,000km (190000miles) on the motor doesnt blow any blue smoke. and the motor sound and runs strong.

i use 15w-60 full syn on the motor.

any ideas?

Hi! Try 5w-40 full syn oil. I think this 15w-60 is too thin.

Does your car" whoosh" like it has turbo and blow of valve, on hard pull after 5000-7000rpm when you shift gear?

My e36is does it with Dbilas itb`s and thats sounds very hilarious:cool:

I installed today Innovate wideband-lambda and afr-meter to my car and now i it shows it runs lean? there is video 2 & 3 gear pull:

My e36 IS got: Dbilas itb, Dbilas chip, Eisennman (race) "catback", Bmc carbon CAI and Shrick copy intake cam.

I think have to do chip at dyno next.
