Updated the price and Craigslist link.

Here is a link to my photo album.

Oh, the mileage on the odometer is not correct. It show 212k miles but the car only has 155k. I replaced the cluster to get rid of the white face plates that were glued in. I have another cluster showing 110k that can go with the car.

I have decided it is time to return to an M3 so I need to make room in my garage.

Here is a link to the CL ad I just posted.

The $2999 price is for the car only. All the parts and wheels can be included for a total price of $4000

Did you recently to a timing job? It looks like you have the new style sprockets and guide rail. Did you notice the stud is broken off your sprocket? Check out the photo's of my setup.

Engine + Driveline / How does this timing gear look to you?

You do not need to replace those cam gears. The teeth are still squared, besides they may have been replaced already as they are the new replacement style.

If you decide to swap to your original accessories let me know, I would be interested in buying '95 parts.

Engine + Driveline / Fan Clutch Rediculousness
« on: October 15, 2008, 01:08:29 PM »
Its much easier to remove if you leave the belt tight. You can use some vise grips to hold the pulley against the belt and then hit the wrench as hard as you need to.
Works like a charm for me...

if you want free flowing but the look of a cat get a long screwdriver and hammer and pound out the honey combs inside it... depends on state and the place you take it to for inspections... some states just look to see if it has one some to a exhaust test....
but thats what i did to 1996 GST eclipse.. and passed every time...lol suckers

That same honeycomb from the OEM cat that you trashed is worth almost $200 at a scrapyard now...

Point being if you are going to do that make sure you take your OEM cat to the scrap yard and you should get enough money to buy your new aftermarket one and have it installed.

Are you kidding me? a 4.1 diff would make the car faster off the line.

Yes but i think he meant by having that steep of a gear forces you to shift right before you hit 60mph hence the crap 0-60 times of the M42 cars. At least thats the opinion on the internet...

Engine + Driveline / Warm start stall

this problem can be caused by a multitude of things, its something that is on its way to failing.

My suggestion is to test everything thats free, get a multi meter and check all your sensors and wiring, then move on to other things.

I have tested and replaced pretty much everything thats been listed in this thread.

I wish it would just fail so i can replace it already.
