i recently bought a performance chip for my car. The chip matches my dme # which is 0 261 200 990. when i went to install the chip i realized that there is no place to plug the chip and the stock chip is soldered into the dme. from what i understand a rare amount of bmw dme's are like this. what i wanna know is if i got someone who knew what they were doing to remove the stock chip and solder in the new one, would it work? is it a good idea?
thanks

my car is a canadian 94 e36 if that makes any difference i honestly cant find any information on it except for that very few are actually soldered in. i dont have a picture but on my dme the chip is located more towards the middle.

I have LAMP -server running and I was wondering how to test its performance.
