Thought I would share a few pics of the adventure.

PIC 1 I was 2nd in line at the train.
PIC 2 A familiar sight.
PIC 3 I swear that was the smoothest ride ever.

That's one clean Alpenwiess 318iS! Looks like fun time.

Please post more pics to the members section when you have a chance. If you want, I can host a few images for you when and IF my host server comes back on line.

Hey guys thanks for the words. Its kinda frustrating having the car in need of hoses and clamps and only able to work on it after hours. The encouragement was just what I needed.

As soon as I get the hoses in and on(TODAY). I plan on changing the headlights to the elips and replacing the interior with OEM black leather.

Mod wish list:
window tint
springs
IS front lip
side skirts
rear apron
intake
exhaust
then some amazing sound system

I am open for any tried and true improvements and input.

What interior do you have? Do you have cloth?

iS lip is a must... If you do sideskirts, get the OE ones that Febi has. They look tasteful and non-ricey.

The interior is cloth, sports package recaro ( I have an extra set of front sports seats that came with the car). I agree, the stock non ricey. Can you get the side skirts from a dealer or is there a better source?

Where'd you end up buying the parts?

As for the wish list, I'd add shocks as you'll need those if you're looking to get lowering springs. Bilstein or Koni's will do. Don't expect any massive hp gains with an aftermarket intake. The stock setup believe it or not is the most optimum. Just replace what you currently have with a mann or mahle filter.

+1 what he said re: the intake, esp in hot weather...

I would add to your mod list:

- clutch stop
- short shift kit (z4 lever, for example)
- mark D chip (best bang for buck ever)

I am actually printing this thread and will use it as the guide. I want to cut down on the trial and error.

I ordered parts here through the dealer. So far they have been pretty good. Problem seems to be with the "inhouse" shortage of E30 stuff.

I guess I should shut up and stop whining. Truth be told I wasn't supposed to go get the car until last weekend so in the long run I actually have gotten a head start on the car.

Where is the best place to order the iS front lip?

There's a GB on bf.c and other e30 related sites.

Check post #54 $130 is a steal. But I'd get in contact with him prior to sending money, paypal to be safe.

I agree with Maxwell... Bav Auto is a great place to order parts and if they have it for $140, that's a lot less complicated. Make sure to get some new spoiler clips if you have any missing... but get those from the dealer. For white cars, you can get white spoiler clips! :D

I agree, Bav Auto has really been a good experience. Guess the key to locating an item is to have the pn. Thanks for the lead.

about the white clips, i have one of them on mine, and the front valence is a tad bit bent, and the white is so much brighter than the rest of the car....just an observation lol your car looks in much better conditon than mine... a tree fell on mine in a great florida hurricane...

Aren't we lucky in Florida having hurricanes? Remember those trucks and trailers that picked up all the debris? Well, my black E46 picked up a number of scars from trash falling off those trailers as I drove.

Thanks for the tip on the clips.

Hummmmmmm.....If it wasn't for Hurricane Charley, I probably wouldn't have my 318is...lol....Lived in a Condo at the time and every vehicle in our parking lots were destroyed....Had an Audi at the time (Front wheel drive POS...lol) and had to find another car quick...Came across this one and have loved it ever since...Atleast we have a garage now...
