Aftermarket Seats & steering wheel?

Do aftermarket seats/w universel sliders bolt right in, or do I need E30 brackets? If so, where can I get them? I was also wondering if a Grant hub adapter for our cars will work with a Momo wheel?

I made my own brackets out of some 2x2 angle. Total cost was $6

I don't have a welder! Plus this is a daily driver and I want it safe!

get the momo hub, I hear that its the safest one out there. Not to mention its only like $60. I have the momo and its great. I also have a momo seat and slider ;)

Didn't use a welder to make my brackets. Drilled eight holes and cut a two clearance notches. They're every bit as safe as stock seats and probably safer than Momo brackets. I used the stock sliders.

They looked every bit as functional and were easier to make than mine so I went with it and they work perfect.

For my wheel I picked up a Momo hub from one of my suppliers. They're primarily a VW supplier but they'd had an E30 adapter sitting on the shelf for a few years. Got it cheap ($45 shipped). Grabbed one of my spare Momo wheels, dated right around when the car was made, and a Benetton F1 horn button. Only down side is that most steering wheels would do better with a 1" spacer behind them so I'm going to have to pick one of those up.

what kind of seats?
The seats are made by Tuner FX, never heard of them before, but they are DOT approved! A friend of mine works in an auto supply store, and he got me a set for 230.00! He has these seats in two of his race cars, and they are so comfortable to sit in.

Grant hub won't fit. I got one from my friends store to match up. Momo or bust! Do our cars need a spacer for the wheel?

Yes these brackets are fantastic....the person who designed them must be a genius...hahahahaha :D

but seriously - no welding, uses existing seatbelt anchor points (important when trying to get things "approved" over here), very simple design, easy to make, bolts up to exisiting rails so you have forward and back adjustment - what more could you want.
