Excellent write-up.
As for supplies I recommend www.pakshak.com for microfiber towels and www.autogeek.net for detailing products.

As Eurospec said, great write up. Straightforward and simple, something even a detailing retard like myself can do. I like that all of your product recommendations are things I can pick up at the store down the street. Thanks

Thanks.
Hope it helps some of you.
It took a lot of research and trial and error but the results have been worth it.
There are some better products out there, however the idea was for regular guys to just keep a daily driver nice. Which means easily acquired items.
If I can find it, I wil post and add the pics of the Miata I restored. Oxidized to hell, now it looks factory fresh.
I have to try these instructions when the weather gets a bit warmer. Last fall I did the clay bar and I used some kind of polish or glaze on half the roof. Yes, half - before it got dark out. The half I did looked a lot better. It's been 6 months and I still haven't done the other half.
I need a weekend to do nothing but detail the 318i and the m3.

Post pics when you are done.
