manifold/throttle assembly off... cleaning and..?

So i have removed my intake manifold in an effort to replace some cooling hoses that were cracked. To clean any gunk from my throttle body and maybe manifold, can i use B-12 Chemtool carb cleaner? any other suggestions while im under here for preventative maintenance?

I would say use whatever you want, just avoid getting it on any hoses and gaskets you plan to keep.
