I take it this is not the same top gear we get in the UK?

It is the Top Gear on BBCA, I would presume it's the normal show, however on a different schedule. Too bad they don't run Fifth Gear with it as well, I can picture Jeremy and Tiff now arguing over what is better :)

back in the day tiff was on top gear and so was plato!
