So I'm about ready to install the AC idler that I got from Denis and while I'm at it, replace all the belts. Now, a few months back at a local meet, someone noticed that my alternator was sitting a bit crooked and mentioned that it was likely my alternator bushings gone bad. I totally forgot about it until now. My question is has anyone else had an issue with their alternator bushings gone bad? If so, which parts should I get? I was looking at things today and it looks like its simply mounted cock-eyed (probably by the dealer who replaced my water pump a few years back). Thoughts and suggestions are welcomed.

Unbolt the top alernator bolt mount and inspect them. You can simply take a screwdriver and drive them out when the bolt is removed and the alternator swung out of the way.

They aren't really doing much but dampening some vibration, so I suspect they are probably fine. Someone makes poly alternator bushings for these cars, but that seemed a bit over the top, even by my standards.

Ooh, I forgot, you will need to loosten the slack on the belt and remove it from the pully first! My motor was on an engine stand and no belts when I did this.

Thanks. I'll be swapping belts anyways so it'll be off when I inspect it.
