I would like a moment of silence please, Yesterday at 5pm Utah time a stupid driver ran a red light a killed my car.

After all of the work I had done to it. This was the car, I had finaly after 50 plus cars in my life I had found the one that filled all of my needs and desire. Now I have to deal with her insurance and mine and find out who gets her limp dead shell.

I now have to remove all of the stuff I installed on her and try to find a replacement.

I am very sad:( :( :(

find a replacement man!

I was just about ready to do that with my car, but the bodywork wasn't too bad. Still haven't fixed the damage either.

Goodluck!!

I have to wait to see what the insurance stuff ends up being and then I will find a new car, remove the good stuff and then sell the rest of the stuff I dont need on ebay.

Shit man! :(

Time to start saving for an e30 m3?

I thought of that and decided that the 318is is more of what I need. The M3 would be hard to drive in snow and with a family on the way the additional expence is not needed. I love the 318is for its good fuel milage and fun to drive nature with out the atitude.

NOOO!!

I'm so sorry to hear this Dave :(

If you could find a clean '83-84 318i shell they are a bunch lighter to begin with.

People are so stupid.

Terribly srry man. Really hoping you could recuperate a good portion of the money that went into modding the car... extensive list I might add. Hang in there.

Damn that sucks.

Glad you are ok. Better to be in an e30 than many other cars when it happenned though. The car did its job.

Wow I am really sorry to hear about this. I know how it feels to have one totalled, it sucks. Just give it some time, it will work out. Good luck finding a replacement vehicle, and glad you are OK.

As far as the hug part, I'd give one up. WHatever I said would have to end with ", man." That way its not...questionable...

I hope the other driver was wounded and you weren't. I hope it goes well with your insurance. They like to collect your money every month but then you have to fight them to get them to do what your paying them for anyway...Stick with the E30 ;) Now is an excuse to get a nicer one!

good luck getting an e30 back together, think of it as a chance to get to know another color, interior, etc...

God that sucks man. Same thing happened to me in my VW, no car has been able to fill the void. I had to leave VWs altogether because they depressed me.

Well i have an update
I did settle with the insurance and made out pretty good.
I bought another 318is but this time in silver and with a sunroof. I like the sunroof and the silver looks realy good on this car.
The front valance of the car needs some major work and the rear is also in need of work. I bought the car sight un seen out of need, I could not go see the car and there are no available 318's in Utah.
So now I have to begin the project again, and now I know that I will do some things differently and not do some things I did do.

I am happy now with a new daughter and a new car.
