...has anyone seen these or installed these? The wiring might be a little tricky, but damn, it sure looks like a cool upgrade.

Even if you couldn't get illuminated ones...I'd think ones that said BMW in alluminum would be cool...anywho, just thought I'd throw this out there...

That's cool. I like that. I was actually thinking about doing an Illuminated Emblem or Roundell for the hood or trunk. Maybe this kit can give me an idea for the wiring.

Ever since I drove the Porsche 911 Carrera 4-S, I've wanted illuminated door sills so badly. Not entirely sure if it would go with the styling, but I really want something there....something aluminum....something less boring than plain old black plastic. Really looking forward to what comes up.

I posted this thread a while back, I kinda forgot about it, then stumbled across this link last night.
It's for E34 unfortunately (and it's in blue LED...I wish it was red or white personally)...but it does seem like we're getting closer to possibly being able to do this mod for our cars someday..and at $149 it's obviously not cheap but certainly more doable than $700 I've seen in the past for newer bmw's...
...in case the link below doesn't work, the company is cscarparts.com...just google it...

Or not. Each to his/her own. I think it's a nice idea. The e30 is somewhat spartan by today's standards, and if done right, this would add a nice element of class.
