19# injectors with Mark D chip

Does anyone know if there is a problem swapping the stock injectors with 19# injectors and using a Mark D chip?
I just replaced my head gasket and upgraded the injectors in the process. Now that I've got everything back together the engine runs rough and won't idle. I thought I was being extra careful keeping the timing in place so I'm hoping that's not the problem. The injectors are the only other major change I did. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what the problem could be other than the timing being off.
Also, the exhaust header gets super hot after running for only a couple of minutes.
Anyone know what the problem could be?

19#'s aren't really any change as the stock ones are 20#'s. probably bad timing or something it sounds like, or coincidentally something else broke. I've run 19#'s for 3 years now, for the better spray as they're 4 pintles

sounds like the timing is off. im running 19# with no problems. my timing was off, and it ran shitty at idle, but seemed to run fine the rest of the time.

Ok, that sounds like the problem I'm having.
So how do I adjust the timing now that everything is put back together? What do I have to remove, can I just remove that front portion of the valve cover in front of the sprockets? I sure hope I don't have to take everything apart again....

make sure that cyl 1 is at tdc, and the square parts of the cams should be straight with the top of the head. if they arent you will need to remove the timing covers, take off the tensioner and cam gears and re-align everything.
