Fix one thing and something else goes

Just got the oil pan gasket and things going thank god nothing ugly was chilling inside the pan but anyways.


Ive been noticing my injectors are pretty loud and so is the fuel pump? On the drivers side or is that the filter that is there? Well whatever, anyways thing is pretty loud so I'm figuring that this may be the cause of the loud injectors. Maybe it is clogged and its forcing the gas through the injectors making them ping loudly.

My questions are:
1- Is it the fuel pump or the fuel filter that sit on the drivers side near the wheel well area?
2- Would this cause loud injectors?

if you're driving sitting on the passenger's seat like those guys in UK, the pump will be right behind you, under the back seat (which you can easily remove to hear where the the noise is from). if you're from elsewhere like Canada or US then the pump is not on your side

don't know about the injectors but those two sounds should not come from the same place thats for sure!

Im in the US. There is like a running water kind of noise coming from the pump underneath the back seat but not loud. Just the noise that is underneath the car near the wheel well is what makes a whining noise at all times.

The canister under the car on the drivers side (US) is the fuel filter. The main fuel pump is mounted in the fuel tank, accessible by removing the back seat, and then removing the cover plate underneath the seat cushion. From under the car it would not surprise me if you could hear the pump running. You should usually be able to hear it kick on from inside when you turn the key (before starting).

Sorry, but I've no experience with the injector noise issue.
