Ok so I found the plugs that connect to the actual lights, but the wire is way to short. Do I have to undo all the zip ties until the wire is long enough to reach? The instructions say that if the wire too short use the extension piece provided, but there isn't an extension piece. Am I missing that piece or do I just undo the zip ties?(this is the OEM kit by the way)

Yes, release the wires from the clips to extend further. You don't need to add any extra wiring.
