Is it possible to make inserting one's location into their user profile mandatory? The reason I ask is many times while reading over classified ads, it seems that users have to request from the seller their "location" and for those who may be wondering if the Seller is local to their area (or within driving distance), it's a guessing game...

I'm not saying everyone has to insert their exact town name, but at least if it said "Florida" or something, buyers local to FL would know they might be able to save some $$ by picking up the part locally (or for sellers, they would possibly sell a part quicker locally instead of shipping hassles, especially on large items).

Or, there is a vBulletin "hack" out there for the classifieds forums so when a member is listing an item for sale, the first field they have to enter is a State name... Example of this hack is found on another site's classified section I frequent (it was also incorporated into their site to cut down on spamming and to make it easier for locals to find parts in thier home State):

Just curious and to see what others thought about this request.

There probably is a hack, but not everyone wants to put a location and you can always just put "imaginationland" or something.

I will post a rule that it should be in the title.
