Did you do the M42 conversion or did you buy it like that?

I have an 89 318i and I did an M42 conversion on mine... M40 -> M42 = 20hp more special :P

We didn't get the M40 in North America, even 318i sedans came with the M42 although our M42 is not as powerful as the M42 in europe.

+1 came with it.... it's a 91 if i didn't post it... i wish it was as powerful... but man, i can get some mean speed with this... i'm not worried about power too much anyway... i'm more doing little body stuff here and there... i did my own blackout grille that you see in the pic there.... and i'm doing my all red tailights today or tomorrow..

yep 91' 318i's came w/ the m42, the only other is the 91' 318is obv. The early e36 318is's had the m42 also

i HAD a girlfriend, but we broke up before i got the car. so i just pay for the basic necessities and the car (which is a necessity!) let's get some pics. i personally have an alpine white II car aswell, but i got the shadowed tail lights. they look awesome w/ my black 'is' trim and i have a blacked out grill

btw, you haven't listed the power mods you've done to your car? what have u done to get 143rwhp?

i just realized that when you tryped it... it's miss-key on my part, it's 123.21rwhp...only power mods are an ansa exhaust, k&n air filter, new headers, and a little bit of weight removal... nothing special...
