Though I should introduce myself and my car, this place seemed the most appropriate for the pictures.
These pictures were taken on my phone last March when I bought my car. It hasn't really changed since, I've just fitted a new (stock) exhaust when a fox knocked mine off (and the front splitter) and added a lot of mud competing in road rallies.
It came as standard with: PS, LSD, S/R and Fog lights.

I love my BMW. I'm considering buying an E32 535i M Sport to add to my collection sometime in the new year but for now my M42 engine leads the way :)

South west of England, and I think all the rain is an advantage when you have an lsd ;)

I want your front valence SO badly. Car looks incredibly clean, any more info on these road rallies?

My front splitter is actually the wrong one, it's supposed to be extended and alpeinweiss II like the rest of the car but it broke when I hit a fox!
Basically the road rallies are just navigational exercises done on open public roads during the night time (with permission from the police and the MSA) where you get given a map and some clues and have to navigate your way to certain points within a certain time limit.

No they aren't :p
Only in Italy and perhaps some other countries where it was obliged. In Belgium and Germany it wasn't stock.
I think it's funny, there are Europeans here who customize their E30 with US spec sidemarkes and you guys want to look european :D

In the UK the sidemarkers are standard like that, I don't know about the rest of europe.
I wouldn't want them US style tbh, it doesn't float my boat.

I hit a bank at about 80mph and rolled it, landing on the top of the A pillar by my head.
I hit my head quite hard, got a few cuts from glass but climbed out and I'm fine. Car is, obviously, destroyed. Shame really! I liked that car but it's okay because I've got an '88 Supra to replace it. I'll miss the M42 though.

Happy your alright, damn shame about the car.

Yeah. Still, everything that makes it an iS is still intact and, hopefully, will be bolted to another E30 and carry on the legacy. Not by me though, although I was tempted to buy a cheap 325 and attach the suspension setup.

Wow, and introduction and an ending of a 318is in the same thread. All on the first page too!
Such a shame with that beautiful car. But it's a good thing you were able to get out with out much harm, that looks like it hurt! It looks like it was your torso that bent the steering wheel?
woo! my first post!

No, it was my thighs. I used the steering wheel to press myself back in to the seat to avoid smacking my head (again).
I actually owned the car for over a year, I just didn't introduce it to this forum until quite late on. Congrats on your first post ;)
