Does anyone know of a bellhousing that would bolt up to an m42 engine?
I believe the m42 shares transmission bolt patterns with the m5x/s5x engines so anything for those would work too.

No one?
Damn, it is gonna be a pain in the ass getting this thing on an engine dyno.
BMW used some GM auto transmissions, did they have bellhousings or were they one piece as well?
Does anyone know of someone running a non-BMW transmission on any BMW engines?
Does anyone have a shot transmission in the midwest I could have/buy to make a bellhousing out of?
I promise to post all kinds of engine dyno runs if I can get this done.

Here are some BMW bellhousings. Don't know if any fit.

These are for older 5, 6, and 7 series E23 & E28. I think the E36 with GM automatics were integral bell housing and trans.

I also think all M5x/S5X bolt patterns are the same as the M42. I don't know if any transmission has a separate bellhousing.

I know some of the e46 5-speeds work, but I don't think they have a separate housing. Why do you need the bellhousing?

Why do you need the bellhousing?
I want to put it on an engine dyno
